Left MCA shows dot sign as well as subtle insular ribbon sign. Scan after 24 hours shows large established infarct.

Hyperacute haemorrhage

Hyperacute hemorrhage appears isointense on T1, hyperintense on T2. CT shows acute haemorrhage.

Stroke Window

Brain window (80-40): No obvious abnormality

 

Stroke window (35-35): showing infarcts

MRI: T2, DWI confirming the diagnosis

 

Follow up CT after 6 months showing established infarcts.

 

Resolving haematoma
